Baywood Enterprises is an amalgamation of two sister companies - Sportspal Products and Plastitech Products. It manufactures products in the city of North Bay, Ontario, Canada. Brand names include Sportspal Canoes, Radisson Canoes, Easy Hauler Line of Boat, Snowmobile, Pontoon and Utility Trailers, Contour Pedal Boats, Kiwi Kayaks and Kiwi Clear Kayaks.
Sportspal was first established in the late 1940's as the manufacturer of the Sportspal Canoe. At that time the canoes were built and sold in Canada to hunters and trappers. Now, Sportspal Products builds two lines of canoes, the Sportspal Canoe for sale in the Canadian market and the Radisson Canoe for sale in the U.S. Both are the same light, durable and practically unsinkable canoe that has served outdoor enthusiasts for years. Sportspal has also shipped canoes as far away as England, Japan, Norway, Denmark and other European Countries.
Sportspal Products is also the manufacturer of the Easy Hauler Trailer Line which has many different trailers models available. From boat trailers, personal watercraft, pontoon boat trailers, snowmobile trailers and utility trailers, Easy Hauler has a trailer to meet your needs. Easy Hauler trailers are available through marine dealers in Canada. Easy Hauler trailers has also made shipments to Japan and Norway.
Plastitech Products was established in 1987 as a manufacturer of the Contour Pedal Boat line. At that time the boats were sold in North America, through a network of Manufacturers Representatives, Distributors and Marine Dealers.
Plastitech purchased the Kiwi Kayak company from California and the Innovex Clear Kayaks from Tennessee and moved the manufacturing to it's North Bay facility. Products are marketed in North America, and around the world with boats being shipped to Europe, the Middle East, Japan and also has shipped to Australia.
